- Television static
Pink Noise Color
Pink noise color works almost the same way as white noise color, but it’s easy to notice the difference. Pink noise color uses lower frequencies, so the sounds might sound deeper than white color noise. Basically, pink color noise can be considered as a white color noise with a lot of basses. Some people who find the white noise harsh might enjoy in the pink noise. Pink noise is good for canceling the background noises, but it’s also great for relaxing and focusing.
Examples of pink noise color would be:
- Heavy rain
- Rushing water
- Strong wind through leaves
- Air condition sound
Brown Noise Color
Brown noise color is the least researched noise color, however, it’s still one of the three most known colors. It uses low frequencies, but it takes them further to create noisy patterns. Some people might find the brown noise too harsh, but it’s still used a lot for relaxation and even meditation. It can also increase reading comprehensions.
Examples of brown noise color would be:
- Low roar
- Deep hum
- Clothes dryer
- Train passing
It might be hard to understand how can someone relax to these types of noise, but you just have to give it a try.
Which is The Best Noise Color?
Unfortunately, I have to admit to you that there’s no best noise color.
It’s most likely a matter of personal preference and as individuals, everyone will prefer different noise color.
Many people prefer white noise color and it’s considered to be the best one for sleeping, however, maybe you will prefer pink or brown instead of white noise color.
That’s the reason why there hasn’t been proper research on this. Simply because it’s a data that varies from individual to individual.
I’d highly recommend you to try out all types of noise colors you might find. That’s how you will find the best one for yourself.
